The Third Agreement: Don't Make Assumptions

Out of all the Four Agreements written by Don Miguel Ruiz, none have beaten me over my head like #3: Don't make assumptions.

My imagination has created award-winning motion pictures. Listen, I have the most amazing special effects you wouldn't believe! However, many of my extravagant movies were nowhere near the truth. NOWHERE.

I was lying to myself because I was afraid of the truth. If I had asked for clarity and understanding many of the circumstances I was involved in would never have happened.

You know what they say about assuming. It makes an "ass" out of "u" and me.
